TRAVEL GUARD PER TRIP OR ANNUAL EVACUATION INSURANCE

Travel Guard Evacuation Insurance
  • Coverage/trip must originate from the U.S. or Canada
  • Coverage available to U.S. and Canadian residents
  • Coverage starts 100 miles away from home
  • Coverage includes Medical, Emergency Medical Evacuation, Security evacuation and, if requested, adventure sports coverage
  • One way trip is also covered. Return date means the date on which the insured is scheduled to return to the point where the trip is started or specified (an example: which is on your airline ticket) return destination.
  • No U.S. major medical insurance needed
  • Covers for both domestic (U.S. and Canada) and international travel
  • May cover all trips up to 365 days straight
  • Natural disasters are covered. For example, volcano eruptions, fire, flood, and earthquakes are some examples.
  • Pre-existing conditions: look back is 90 days. Travel Guard only looks at the last 90 days from the date the insurance is purchased for pre-existing conditions. If there are any pre-existing conditions in those last 90 days Travel Guard will not cover.
  • Primary medical: This plan is your primary coverage no matter what other insurance plan(s) you have
  • One child per adult at no additional premium
  • Optional baggage upgrade
  • May add sports rider
    • All adventure sports is covered except participation in contests of speed, motor sport or motor racing including training or practice for the same
    • No professional sports covered

ONE TRIP POLICY

  • “Per trip” means: the period of time between the contracted departure date and the contracted return date for which prepaid travel arrangements are arranged by or purchased through the / a travel supplier. Here are two examples of “one trip/per trip” coverage:
    1. If you choose the per trip of 120 days plan this means your one trip will include up to 120 days of coverage. Thus, this option allows for one trip coverage for up to 120 days of cover
    2. If you choose a per trip of 10 days this means your one trip will be only for 10 days or less and purchasing this option allows for one trip cover for up to 10 days. A second or more trips will mean a need to apply for another “per trip” policy
  • The purpose of the trip is business or pleasure and is not to obtain health care or treatment of any kind
  • The trip must be more than 100 miles from home
  • Best for trips up to 30 days

ANNUAL POLICY WITH MULTIPLE TRIPS

  • “Trip” for Annual Plan means: a period of round-Trip travel away from home to a destination outside the insured’s city of residence
  • The purpose of the trip is business or pleasure and is not to obtain health care or treatment of any kind
  • Covers all trips up to 90 days per trip for as many trips you can take in 1 policy year
  • The trip must be more than 100 miles from home
